Each edition has its own homepage, tools, and guide pages.

I started ChessPairings.org because I wanted a free, FIDE-compliant tool I could use at the tournaments I run myself — and keep improving as I went. The forum link above is the fastest way to reach me with bugs or feature requests.

Changelog

v5.13.3 Feature May 29, 2026

Added

  • API keys for everyone — Every account can now generate a personal API key from Profile → API to power the WordPress plugin. Previously this was limited to administrators. Keys are per-user, read-only, and only expose your own tournaments.
  • WordPress plugin highlight — A banner on the logged-in home links to the plugin showcase, so organizers can display their tournaments on their own WordPress site.

What it does not do

A few things the app intentionally does not handle today:

  • USCF pairing rules. The engine follows FIDE Dutch, Dubov, Burstein, and Lim. USCF-specific rules are not implemented.
  • Haley accelerated pairings. Not supported. Standard Swiss acceleration is not currently part of the pairing workflow.
  • FIDE-rated online events. The workflow targets over-the-board tournaments. Online rating submission is outside scope.
