The next-round button is disabled

Check that the current round exists, every non-bye board has a saved result and the configured number of rounds has not already been reached. Enable Only incomplete to expose missing results.

Players are missing from the review

Open Participants and verify active status, planned absence, withdrawal round and requested bye. A player intentionally unavailable for the round must not appear in an ordinary pairing.

Manual pairing validation reports missing players

Each active player must be assigned exactly once. Search every white and black selector, including rows below the visible area. With an odd player count, leave the black side empty on exactly one row to create the bye.

Duplicate or repeated opponents

Remove duplicate player selections first. A repeated opponent may be unavoidable only under specific competition conditions; automatic Swiss pairing follows bbpPairings constraints. If you override with a manual round, record the arbiter reason outside the pairing data.

Bye conflict

A requested bye, an inactive player and the automatic odd-player bye are different states. Cancel an unsaved review, correct the participant schedule and regenerate. If the round is already saved, create a backup and cancel that round before changing availability.

Engine error

Do not edit the temporary TRF. Create a backup, export the current TRF through Reports, analyze it with the read-only tool and include the diagnostic output when requesting support.
